FAQ

Tell me a bit more about the services at Paintbucket.

We offer a wide variety of treatments performed by some of the most talented technicians and nail artists in the industry. We provide everything from organic and all-natural treatments to gel services and nail extensions. If you’re interested in nail art, check out our curated Lookbook or bring us a custom design.

What kinds of products does Paintbucket use?

We’re committed to using the most ethical, effective and when possible, natural products on the market. We offer a range of lacquers from basic (Essie, OPI, Flossgloss) to luxury if you’re feeling fancy (Deborah Lippman, Smith & Cult, Chanel and Givenchy). And since we’re big fans of Mother Earth, we do our best to only use 5, 7 and 9 free lacquers, and our creams and oils are natural or organic when possible.

I’m a germaphobe.

That wasn’t really a question, but we get it. We thoroughly disinfect, clean and sterilize every tool and piece of equipment in a medical grade autoclave. We use tankless pedicure bowls with state-of-the-art purification systems that are engaged after every use.

That being said, if you’d prefer not to share manicure tools, we offer personal toolkits for purchase. Each kit includes a personal cuticle nipper, nail clipper and cuticle pusher. We’ll even hold onto it for you at the shop. And since your cuticles are the only things keeping the outside outside of your nailbeds, we nip minimally while making sure every finger gets the attention it needs.

I’ve been reading a lot about unfair labor practices in nail salons. Is Paintbucket different?

At Paintbucket, we strive to lead the nail industry by example. Our licensed technicians are essential members of the Paintbucket team and work six-eight hour shifts with higher than average payment structures based on their industry day rate. And since we’re a small business, we select product and design partners from other small, local businesses whenever possible. Love thy neighbor, you know? If you have any questions about how we do things, send us an e-mail at hello@paintbucketnails.com.

What if my nails chip?

If for some reason, your gel mani chips within 7 days of your service, we are happy to provide a complimentary gel fix to the nails that have chipped. The gel color must be the same as the color you received during your original service and we can only fix the nails that have chipped. We kindly request that you email us a picture of your chipped mani at hello@paintbucketnails.com or come into the shop to show us.

**Chipping complaints 7+ days after any service will not be acknowledged.**
